Personalities BACK

DONNA GROVES - News Director
Donna owes her radio career to a professor at Paducah Community College, John Stewart, who later spent years with her as an on-air colleague during the long-running "Frank and John" show on WKYX. It was John who told Donna she would be good in radio. Donna earned a bachelor's degree from Murray State University in 1984, and began her first stint at WKYX-WKYQ in 1986. With the exception of a few years when she went to work for the Paducah Sun and then WKMS in Murray, she has been news director at Bristol Broadcasting for most of her career.

Donna has won numerous Associated Press awards, including Best Reporter in the state seven times. When she's not covering breaking news, she volunteers with Project Hope No-Kill Humane Society in Metropolis, serving as its treasurer, and assists her boyfriend Stefan Jagoe with the Grace Episcopal Church Youth Group. She also enjoys spending time her cats - Sweetness, Rusty, Riley, Snowball (who is deaf), Stevie (who is partially blind), and Herbie (who has three legs).

GREG DUNKER - Morning Show Host / Program Director

Greg Dunker is certainly in the right profession, because he talks a lot. All the time. He never stops. Wisecracks, stories, remembrances, rants, quips, puns, allusions, quotes, opinions, Dunker just goes on and on.

Dunker talked his way through Lone Oak High School, all the way into Paducah Community College, where he first put his big mouth behind a microphone. The rest, as they say, is conversational history.

His colleagues at Bristol Broadcasting have endured this non-stop dialogue since 1986. Dunker has hosted the morning show on WKYX since 2004. He spends his spare time annoying the mayor and governor, and adding to his hot sauce collection.

A card-carrying member of the Emil Verban Memorial Society, Dunker knows all the words to "Go Cubs Go". He's been married to his wife Denise since 1989. They and their three cats live in Paducah.

GEORGE NOORY
With a 30-year history in the broadcasting field under his belt in such positions as executive television news producer and news director, George Noory brings a wide swath of experience to the table. At age 28 he was the youngest major news market news director in the country when he was at KMSP-TV in Minneapolis. But it was just a couple of years ago that he came to the attention of Premiere Radio Networks, who heard him on his late-night radio program on KTRS in St. Louis. Known as "the Nighthawk," George's penchant for covering paranormal topics with enthusiasm and skill impressed Premiere. He was then brought on board to host the Sunday night Coast to Coast show. And as Art Bell's back problems became more severe, George was honored to fill in for him on a regular basis. And now with Art's retirement, George Noory is your guide into the word of the paranormal and the bizarre.
